Oversight Project Still Calls for Anti-Weaponization Fund

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

July 31, 2026

Washington, D.C.– The Oversight Project stands in support of President Trump’s attempt to make whole victims of weaponization through the Anti-Weaponization Fund. The success of this will color the Trump Administration’s legacy on solving for the weaponization of the Biden years. In his post on Truth Social, President Trump says that “there has never been a group of people treated so badly in our Nation’s history.”

When the Anti-Weaponization Fund was created, President Mike Howell declared he was running to help lead the historic fund. The Oversight Project has been advocating for the creation of an initiative to do this for years. In working with so many victims, it is abundantly clear that there needs to be a prioritized initiative to help them.

Howell released a ten-point plan for the $1.776 billion fund to thrive. The fund was under attack and was ultimately shut down, with support from leftist Republicans who pushed to confirm Merrick Garland. The Oversight Project stands ready to defend victims of this weaponization, the government just needs to establish a new body and instrument to accomplish this historic endeavor. Due to the scale of the historic harms, existing measures are wholly insufficient.

Oversight Project President Mike Howell gave this quote:

“Tillis and Cornyn will be gone, but the pain that victims still suffer will remain. The Oversight Project is thrilled that President Trump chose standing with the victims over standing with the weak politicians.

It's time to turn the victims into MAGA Millionaires. I hope that during their retirement Cornyn and Tillis watch oversized checks delivered to these patriots on cable news television.

We stand by to make sure the circumstances allow for those who were greatly abused by the corrupt and weaponized Biden to be made whole. These politicians would have no issue giving this money to Ukraine, weaponized globalist technology companies and data centers, or their special interest donors. How about helping the people for once?”
