Oversight Project Secures Complete and Total Victory Over “Autopen” Biden In Efforts to Withhold Recordings

Washington, D.C.– Today, The Oversight Project obtained a complete and total victory over President Joe Biden’s autopen in his sad, but predictable efforts to withhold the recordings of his interviews with his ghost writer. Biden’s declination to seek further review of the D.C. Circuit’s ruling paves the way for the release of the interview tapes.
Today’s victory is the latest in a string of Oversight Project wins over the autopen President. The autopen’s efforts to block transparency here were decisively rejected by both the Court of Appeals and the District Court. Last year, we secured the release of the audio recording of President Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur. Our work uncovering the prolific and unlawful use of the Biden autopen has revealed the serious threats to our constitutional republic that Democrat leadership poses.
Special Counsel Hur declined to prosecute President Biden because he feared that Biden would present to the jury as a “well meaning elderly man with a poor memory.” He based that conclusion not only off his own interview with the senile President, but also off of his analysis of the 2017 interviews between Biden and his ghostwriter that will be released soon.
President Trump has rightly called the autopen scandal the biggest scandal in American history. Today’s victory represents the end of a year’s long fight. The Oversight Project first filed this case on March 6, 2024 and has taken on both the Biden Justice Department and high priced white shoe law firms. Today’s victory is the culmination of a years-long fight.
