Oversight Project Announces Julianne Murray Joining Law Firm
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 2, 2026
Washington, D.C.–The Oversight Project today announced that Julianne (“Julie”) Murray, the former United States Attorney for the District of Delaware, has joined the Oversight Project's law firm. Murray brings experience leading a federal prosecutor's office, more than a decade running her own practice, and firsthand knowledge of how political machinery is used against duly-appointed officials to the Firm's fight against lawfare and government weaponization.
Murray was sworn in as U.S. Attorney for the District of Delaware on July 14, 2025, after being appointed by Attorney General Pam Bondi. She led the office until December 12, 2025, and continued to serve in the Department of Justice through February 2026. Before federal service, Murray founded Murray Law LLC in 2012 and served as the Managing Director of MurrayPhillips, P.A. for more than ten years. She was the Republican nominee for Governor of Delaware in 2020 and for Attorney General in 2022. She has also served as the Chair of the Delaware Republican Party.
Led by Jeff Clark, the Oversight Project announced the creation of the Oversight Project Law Firm in September. The Firm will defend targets of politicized lawfare, challenge abuses of congressional and state legislative oversight, and fight against barfare. Murray’s arrival expands the Firm’s bench as it grows its size and footprint ahead of the next wave of investigations. Murray will serve as the Firm’s deputy leader under Clark’s leadership.
The Oversight Project is in the process of establishing and structuring the Firm in a 501(c)(3) public-interest model, to be operating in January 2027. Our existing 501(c)(4) will remain for advocacy and related purposes. More info is available at www.oversightprojectfoundation.org.
Jeff Clark, Oversight Project Vice President of Litigation, gave this statement:
“I’m thrilled that Julie has joined our new Firm! Together we will be a one-two punch to put Lawfare and Barfare on the canvas. Indeed, Julie’s time at the Oversight Project predates mine. She helped spearhead a major win for the American People and the Oversight Project as a collaborator with our organization. Her criminal law experience, especially in light of recent threats on the horizon being made by lawless members of both houses of Congress as echoed by potential future members of the Executive Branch, make our hiring of Julie a particularly critical addition to the Firm in this dangerous time!”
Julianne Murray, Oversight Project Managing Director, gave this statement:
“I am so excited to have the opportunity to serve this organization! I absolutely love that we are going on offense and are going to be a resource to people that are targeted with lawfare and barfare. We are setting up to be the tip of the spear.”
Mike Howell, Oversight Project President, gave this statement:
“The Oversight Project is not messing around. We know what we are up against in America. Bringing aboard an attorney of Julie’s caliber as a former U.S. Attorney is another indication of how serious we are about our mission. This is a homecoming for us as Julie represented us and the Heritage Foundation in our successful Hunter Biden related litigation. We are loading up and going to do a lot of good for America.”
