Oversight Project’s Amicus Brief Contributes to Judge’s Rejection of Hunter Biden Sweetheart Plea Deal

The Biden Justice Department did everything in their power to let Hunter Biden off with a slap on the wrist.  In the summer of 2023, the Biden Justice Department was prepared to let Hunter Biden off the hook with a sweetheart plea deal that would have absolved the First Son from any accountability.  Before the judge considered whether to accept the plea deal, The Oversight Project filed an amicus brief to raise numerous issues about the proposed deal.  The judge rejected the deal and her rationale tracked some of  the arguments the Oversight Project made in its brief.
