Oversight Project Strikes Blow to Somali Fraud in Minnesota, Secures Removal of over $1M in Pork from Senator Klobuchar and Representative Ilhan Omar

Washington, D.C. – After the House of Representatives unveiled a pork-filled bill to fund the Department of Justice that also failed to legislate meaningful systemic reforms, the Oversight Project quickly sprung into action to identify millions of dollars worth of corrupt earmarks. In particular, Oversight Project investigators identified over $1 million dollars in taxpayer funds that was earmarked for a Somali-led, ISIS-connected, organization called “Generation Hope” and “Justice Empowerment Initiative.” The Oversight Project’s findings took social media by storm and with the help of Representatives Chip Roy and Ralph Norman, along with Senator Mike Lee, the funds were removed from the bill.
Statement from Oversight President Mike Howell:
“It does not appear that Senator Klobuchar or Representative Ilhan Omar ‘leared’ their lesson. I have a simple message for them: I’m the captain now and I’m coming for your unAmerican grift.
The American People are awake to waste, fraud, and abuse as a governing strategy of the left, particularly when combined with invasion-level unassimilated migration, both legal and illegal. This pork, driving more taxpayer dollars to questionable Somali-led initiatives in Minneapolis, should have never been in the bill presented to the Rules Committee. Congress needs to catch their breath and catch up with the American People. I thank the fearless leadership of Representatives Roy and Norman as well as Senator Lee for successfully leading the charge on Capitol Hill to get this removed.
Capitol Hill is supposed to legislate solutions to a systemically broken and weaponized Department of Justice that just happens to now be under non-Democrat leadership. Congress should be solving for and providing accountability for Arctic Frost, January 6th persecutions, and the targeting of President Trump and his supporters. They instead gave us pork. I’m glad we got some of it tossed out.”
